Traveling to France: Netflix creates a tourist guide with its series and films set in France

The streaming giant takes advantage of its (numerous) successful productions with France as a backdrop to offer its subscribers a completely new service… focused on tourism. Now you can explore France in the footsteps of your favorite Netflix films and series! SFR News explains it to you.

A recent study, conducted by the Basis institute among American, German and Japanese subscribers to Netflixthus indicating that they are “3 times more likely to name France as their #1 travel destination.” For good reason, there are many original creations on the platform that take us around France from our living room. So much so that the streaming giant recently partnered with Atout France, the French Tourism Development Agency, to launch exclusive guides based precisely on its programs taking place in a French setting.

What is Netflix’s Voyage to France?

The tourism website signed by Netflix and Atout France was soberly named Traveling in France. It presents three formats of tourist guides: the interactive map, the travel notebooks and the personalized notebook. The first format reveals a map of France and its regions. By clicking on one of them (only Normandy, Grand-Est and Burgundy-Franche-Comté are greyed out), the places and monuments to be discovered appear and it is by going to their files that the series or film that used them as a setting…
