Saudi Arabia: a luxurious “train cruise” from 2025

Only open to tourism since 2019, Saudi Arabia is now on track to launch a luxurious train journey called Dream of the Desert in 2025.

According to Saudi Arabian state media, the new train will offer “luxury cruise train” travel from the capital Riyadh to Al Qurayyat, which is close to the northern border with Jordan.

The route will be 1,300 kilometers long and will pass through the magnificent desert landscapes of Saudi Arabia, as well as the city of Hail.

As for the design of the train, it is indicated that it will reflect Saudi style and tradition. The total capacity will be 82 passengers, distributed in 40 cabins.
