Five new hotels will open their doors by the end of 2023 in popular and emerging destinations around the world. In 2023, The Ritz-Carlton expanded its presence in North America with the opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Portland, the brand’s first property in the Pacific Northwest, designed to showcase this dynamic and lively city. This year also marked the opening of The Ritz-Carlton in Melbourne, Australia’s tallest hotel, as well as The Ritz-Carlton in Fukuoka, Japan. Each property embodies a modern aesthetic, reflecting this iconic brand. The exclusive Ritz-Carlton Reserve portfolio has introduced its sixth exceptional location with Rissai Valley, a Ritz-Carlton reserve in mainland China designed to reflect Tibetan culture and pay homage to the magnificent Jiuzhaigou region, a spectacular valley located on the edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in Sichuan province. In 2024, the Ritz-Carlton Reserve plans to open two properties: Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve on the Red Sea, and Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve on Costa Rica’s Papagayo Peninsula, each offering an immersive, unique and authentic. .
