Sihindou Coulibaly, Mayor of Agboville, on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, welcomed the contribution of religious guides and traditional leaders in maintaining peace and social cohesion in his constituency, as well as the defense and security forces, during the ceremony of presentation of wishes, at the city hall.

“I would like to salute the role of religious guides in maintaining social cohesion and peace. Their contribution to maintaining social cohesion and peace is real and visible. Dom Alexis Touably and his entire team, I thank you and continue to do this work,” said Mr. Coulibaly.

He said he plans to organize a prayer meeting for religious people on the eve of Easter. He also plans to invite Muslims to pray on the eve of the month of Ramadan. “We will hold an interfaith prayer in the month of June to place our region under the power of God, the Almighty,” he added.

Sihindou Coulibaly also thanked the regional president of the Chamber of Kings and Traditionalists of Agnéby-Tiassa, Nanan N’dori Joseph and all traditional leaders for their “immeasurable” contribution to maintaining social cohesion and peace in the city and our villages .

He congratulated and welcomed the dynamism of the defense and security forces in maintaining peace, security and protecting goods and people. The mayor also lamented the fact that local peacekeeping platforms would not meet regularly during the year 2023. The traditional ceremony of presenting wishes to the mayor was attended by all components of the population of Agboville.
