Atout France launches call for expressions of interest dedicated to business tourism

Under the aegis of Olivia Grégoire, Minister Delegate responsible for Small and Medium Enterprises, Commerce, Crafts and Tourism, Atout France launches a call for expressions of interest to accelerate the ecological transition and reinforce the attractiveness, as well as the competitiveness of equipment dedicated to business tourism and events.

The call for expressions of interest (AMI) launched today by Atout France, together with sector players, aims to accelerate the sustainable transformation of reception spaces for congresses, fairs and business meetings. If the priority is to maintain French leadership in holding these events, it is also a matter of taking into account sustainability issues and the legacy left by these types of events.

The business tourism sector and its reception infrastructures face numerous challenges: changes in practices and materials used, simplicity of trips and events, etc. Therefore, investments, renovations, new services, equipment and benefits are now necessary for the destination of France to consolidate its international leadership.

The winners of this AMI will be able to claim engineering support dedicated to carrying out studies for short and medium-term adaptation and transition investments (energy savings for example) but also studies aimed at structuring long-term investments (large rehabilitations for example). Around ten projects can be supported, capable of significantly reinforcing the innovative and sustainable positioning of the French sector. Each winner will benefit from a grant of up to €50,000 over a period of 12 months.

Among the initiatives that could, for example, be supported:

  • Creation of hybridization solutions, digitalization of events ;
  • Infrastructure transformation to more sustainable models ;
  • Valuing the positive impact and legacy of events, etc.

Owners and operators of facilities dedicated to meetings, meetings and events (congress centers, congress and exhibition centers, event venues, exhibition centers, etc.), public or private structures, domiciled within the national territory in mainland France or the abroad are welcome to apply.
