Vietnam in the global travel market in London

Around ten Vietnamese aviation, tourism and hospitality companies participated in the World Travel Market London (WTM), which took place from November 6 to 8 in the United Kingdom.

First held in 1980, WTM London is the world’s second largest annual travel trade show, after ITB Berlin, and the world’s most influential travel and tourism event, providing information, creating opportunities to promote and connect businesses across the world. the world operating in the areas of aviation, hospitality and tourism.

For the 2023 edition, the fair attracted around 4 thousand companies and the number of visitors was higher than the 2022 edition. Last year, the event attracted 38.5 thousand visitors from 184 countries.

With more than ten consecutive years of participation in WTM London, Vietnamese pavilions have presented various tourism products at WTM London 2023, such as luxury train travel in Vietnam, seaplane tour in Ha Long Bay, luxury cruises, ecotourism tours, gastronomic and cultural tourism, hotel and resort services…

Vietnamese companies also organized activities to establish cooperative relationships with foreign partners and promote Vietnamese tourism.

In recent years, Vietnam has been continuously honored by the World Travel Awards (WTA) as the world’s top heritage destination, the world’s best golf destination and Asia’s top destination in terms of tourism, nature, culture, gastronomy and development sustainable. Many Vietnamese destinations have been voted as top global destinations by famous travel websites as well as major global TV channels such as Trip Advisor, Telegraph, CNN, BBC, Travel Channel…

According to data from the General Statistics Office, as of 1er September 2023, Vietnam received almost 8.9 million international visitors, 4.7 times more than in the same period last year and exceeding the target of receiving 8 million international visitors for the whole of 2023.
